Michigan Engineering Group (MiE) had the privilege of providing professional engineering services for Income Power Inc. at the Beyond Juicery+Eatery of Grosse Point Woods at 21110 Mack Avenue for the installation of two (2) 160 KW Autel EV charging stations. The acting CPO of this project is headed by Red-E Charge, a Detroit-based business that has been strategically building out a national charging network with thousands of charging ports available to the public. To bring DC Fast Charging to a small site such as this required detailed planning and coordination with the City, owner, and utility company (DTE) to determine the layout of the space and to provide a dedicated electrical service for the charging stations. Each charger is available for community and commuter use with point-of-sale through card swipe, tap, or phone app. These stations are also part of the Ford BlueOval Charging Network, which helps provide visibility to the charging site through the OEM’s charging network mapping systems.
