Michigan Engineering Group (MIE) provided engineering services to Income Power Inc for the design and development of construction plans for the installation of an Autel 40 KW DC Fast Charging Station. The scope of the project included the evaluation of the existing electrical service, design of a new electrical service, coordination with DTE to establish an EVSE-dedicated utility service and meter, design plans and specifications, property boundary and easement evaluation, and providing permit-ready construction plans.
The primary objective of the project was to bring charging infrastructure to the Armada School District in preparation to receiving their first electric bus being funded through the Bipartisan Clean School Bus Program. This aided the school district with the procurement of the new electric school bus, allowing them to decommission end-of-life diesel-powered buses that were part of their fleet to promote clean energy technologies in the community and decrease of pollutants in the air for the students.
MIE took great pride in this project to bring exhaust-free transportation to the school district. We’re proud of our team and happy we could be of service to the school district.
