Michigan Engineering Group (MiE) had the privilege of providing engineering services to Income Power for the installation of a 240 KW DCFC station that is open for public, community, and commuting EV Charging. The site CPO is headed by Red-E Charge, a Detroit-based business that is strategically developing a national charging network that currently offers thousands of charging ports to the general public and private developments combined. Due to the limited amount of space, this project required extra attention and planning with the City of Pleasant Ridge to maintain city zoning ordinance requirements and provide a high level of service to those seeking a high-speed EV charger to extend their range in minutes. This site is considered critical infrastructure to EV drivers as its geographical location is along the infamous Woodward Avenue, it’s less than 1/2 mile south from I-696, which is a major express, and is also less than a 1/2 mile away from Michigan’s famous Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak.
Michigan Engineering Group is honored to have helped with the design and development of this site as it is a true testament to our team’s ability to quickly respond and adjust to unique circumstances that each site present.
